General Instructions for the Aspirants

The RRB ALP 2018 Exam Pattern is a 3 stage process which are as follows:

a) First Stage- It is a screening test which the candidates have to clear to be eligible for the next stage. The details of this stage of RRB ALP 2018 Exam are as follows:
- Duration: 60 minutes
- Number of Questions: 75
- Nature of Examination: Computer Based Test
- Type of Question: Objective Type MCQ
- Minimum Qualifying Marks:
- General: 40%
- OBC / SC: 30%
- ST: 25%
b) Second Stage: This stage is divided into two parts: Part A and Part B. The first part is used for merit preparation and the second part is for a qualifying purpose.
Part A: The score in this exam will be used for final merit list preparation. The details of this exam are as follows:
- Duration: 90 Minutes
- Number of Questions: 100
- Nature of Examination: Computer Based Test (CBT)
- Minimum Cutoff Marks: It is different for all the categories:
- Gen: 40%
- OBC / SC: 30%
Part B: This exam is qualifying in nature. Candidates have to score a minimum number of marks in order to be eligible for the next process. Check the details for this exam.
- Duration: 60 Minutes
- Number of Questions: 75 minutes
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: 35% for all
- Type of Exam: Qualifying Examination
c) Document Verification: This is the final stage of the exam. Selected students will have to produce the documents and their photocopy on the day as mentioned in the prospectus. Those who do not produce the document will not be eligible to appear for the process.
