Steps to Download Admit Card

RRB ALP 2018 Exam Pattern

Railway Recruitment Board has particularized an Exam Pattern for RRB ALP 2018 that every candidate must follow in order to prepare well for the exam. The major four stages for RRB ALP 2018 exam are listed below.

First stage CBT

  • It is a qualifying type of exam.
  • The first stage CBT will be an online exam.
  • The question paper will be objective type.
  • 75 questions will be there in the exam.
  • Duration of this exam will be 60 minutes.
  • Minimum Qualifying marks are:
    – General: 40%
    – OBC: 30%
    – SC: 30%
    – ST: 25%

Second stage CBT 
The second stage is divided into Part A and Part B. Both of them are online CBT and carry different weightage in the exam.
Part A

  • Scores of this exam will be used in the Merit List preparation.
  • The duration of this exam will be 90 minutes.
  • The question paper will be in MCQ form.
  • 100 questions will be asked in the exam.
  • Minimum Qualifying Marks:
    – General: 40%
    – OBC: 30%
    – SC: 30%
    – ST: 25%

Part B

  • This exam will be a qualifying type of exam.
  • The question paper will be in MCQ form.
  • 75 questions will be asked in the exam.
  • The duration of this exam will be 60 minutes.
  • Minimum marks to qualify this exam will be 35% and applicable to all category students.

Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT)

The third stage for this exam is Computer-Based Aptitude Test. It is only for ALP applicants. CBAT scores will be counted to prepare the Merit List only for ALP Posts.

Document Verification

Subsequently, candidates will be called to verify their documents. You must have a set of original documents and a separate set of their photocopies. Candidates must bring all the necessary documents.
